

Foster as Piper perform the 2017 Inkslinger winner Life on the Moon. He is a Partner at subTEXT Solutions Dramaturgy Group. Playwrights were encouraged to submit their work in hope to have it produced. He is also the NPP Vice-Chair for Region 2 of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. He has been a Teaching Artist with City Theatre in Pittsburgh and Quantum Theatre in Pittsburgh. He received his MFA in Dramatic Writing from Texas State University. He was the 2019 Spotlight Artist of Throughline Theatre Company in Pittsburgh, PA. You never know when a simple writing activity can germinate into a full-fledged new play idea. He has had productions at Texas State University as part of their New Works Festival, Director/Designer Collaboration Project, and as part of their 2016-2017 Main Stage Season. I’d recommend, if possible, that students have a dedicated playwriting folder or notebook where new ideas can be jotted and where vocabulary notes, character sketches and completed writing exercises can be stored and accessed for future reference. He was the recipient of the 2017 Ken Ludwig Playwriting Scholarship. In 2017, he was appointed Director of Theater Programs of Northfield. His 10-minute plays are: BEFORE THE FIRE (Fade to Black 2018 Festival Selection), EFFIE, ROCK THE CRADLE, LILIES, and STUFFED.
